Shukla Mondol : The winners of the third edition of Banglalink Ennovators, a digital ideation competition for innovative youngsters, were declared at its Grand Finale at Radisson blu Dhaka Water Garden on Saturday.
Team Silver Lining, the winning team, clinched the top spot by presenting its digital idea on a real-time vehicle monitoring system.
Around 17,000 youngsters from all across the country participated in the competition.
Following the standard selection process, the chosen participants were given the opportunity to attend grooming sessions and learn from industry experts; this helped them to further enhance their skills.
The top five teams presented their digital ideas at the Grand Finale. The Banglalink Jury Panel selected the top three team after assessing the merits of the presented ideas.
Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, speaker of parliament, announced the winners at the Grand Finale as the Chief Guest.
Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, MP, deputy minister, Ministry of Education graced the event as the special guest. Banglalink’s Acting CEO and Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer Taimur Rahman, Chief Human Resources Officer and Administration Officer Monzula Morshed, and other management members of the organization were also present in the event.
Taimur Rahman, Banglalink’s Acting CEO and Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, said, “If we encourage such youngsters to embrace innovation at an early stage, they will surely become more capable of taking our country forward by finding out innovative ways to face crucial challenges.” He said this while speaking about the importance of digital innovation for sustainable development.
