On the basis of this, Turag correspondent of Daily Manabkantha Md. Russell Khan took charge for the first (six months) term. His term ended at midnight on April 9, and the second (six-month) term of the president was taken over by Dainik Jugantar’s own correspondent Md. Rafiqul Islam from midnight on the same day.

Taking over as the President of Uttara Press Club for the first time, Rafiqul Islam told Chamak News that he would do his utmost to develop Uttara Press Club within the next six months. The aim is to complete the registration process of Uttara Press Club with all the members of the organization as well as to form a fund. So that we can stand by the members of Uttara Press Club in times of emergency. I want to use my talent and experience to be by the side of journalists all the time in any situation.
