Bidyut Prasad Roy from Kishoreganj: The Pohela Baishakh the first day of the Bengali New year 1424 was celebrated at Kishoreganj on Friday (14 April) different programmes with much enthusiasm and festivity. Marking the day a colourful proecession ‘Mangal Shovajatra’ was brought out from old stadium premises in the morning.
District administration, different socio-cultural organisations and educational institutions participated in the procession. The procession paraded the main roads of Kishoreganj and ended at Biam Labratories School premises.
District Administration arranged the breakfast festival on Biam Labratories School premises. 7 days long Baishakhi Mela beings started in Kishoreganj Old Stadium. Marking of the day various social and cultural organisation arranged different programme.
