GSD to Field Candidates in All 294 Seats for Upcoming Assembly Elections
Chomok News Desk : Guided by the slogan “Victory to Humanity, Not to Division,” Guruchand Sena Dal (GSD) has remained politically active since 2023. Embracing the ideals of Guru Christian Thakur, the party has been consistently conducting various social and political activities aimed at social reform.
The organization announced that it is already working toward its visionary goal of fielding its own candidates in all 294 assembly constituencies of West Bengal for the upcoming 2031 state assembly elections. To ensure success, the process of forming organizational committees at the district and police station (thana) levels, alongside expanding the worker-supporter base, has been intensified.
Speaking on the party’s future plans and political vision, GSD Central President Santosh Kumar Adhikari said, “Our core objective is to build an egalitarian society based on the ideals of Guru Chand Thakur. We firmly believe that during the upcoming elections, people from every corner of the state will embrace our call for humanity.”
Echoing similar sentiments, the party’s General Secretary, Nirmalendu Adhikari, shared insights regarding their organizational efforts: “Strengthening the party from the grassroots level is our primary challenge right now. We are working diligently to deliver our message to every household, and we are receiving an overwhelming response from the general public.”
GSD Vice President Gurupada Biswas added, “We do not believe in politics alone; we believe in social reform and the ultimate triumph of humanity. Improving the standard of living and establishing self-respect for the oppressed, exploited, deprived, and marginalized working-class people (SC/ST/OBC/MC) is our ultimate goal.”
According to party sources, the primary objective of Guruchand Sena Dal is to bring about a comprehensive transformation and upliftment in the lives of Dalit and backward communities through strategic political action.
Meanwhile, to accelerate committee formation and member recruitment at the field level, a crucial meeting of the party’s executive committee was held on June 4. Several key decisions regarding the mobilization of organizational activities and future strategies were adopted during the session.
The meeting was attended by Central President Santosh Kumar Adhikari, Vice President Gurupada Biswas, General Secretary Nirmalendu Adhikari, State President Ashutosh Shikdar, North 24 Parganas District President Rahul Biswas, Jalpaiguri District President Bhim Chandra Sarkar, and North Bengal Regional President Chitta Ranjan Sarkar, among other central and local senior leaders of the organization.
Furthermore, moving beyond political initiatives, Guruchand Sena Dal has undertaken a special three-month campaign as part of its social responsibility. Under this initiative, various public welfare programs, including free healthcare camps and tree plantation drives, will be conducted across the state.
